The Home Front “The Blitz” (Fiona Reynoldson) $3 HB EC (Ex lib) Using mainly eyewitness accounts, this series examines what life was like for people in Britain during World War II. This book deals in particular with what it was like to live through the Blitz, and contrasts this with the effects of the Allied bombing. 9+

Flying Aces Of World War I (Gene Gurney) $2 PB VGC (Light tanning) This book lists all World War I Aces, and gives detailed accounts of nine of them. 10+

Junior Histories “The Second World War” (Jean Mathiex) $3 HB EC Great cartoon-like illustrations sure to entice even the most reluctant reader. A good overview and introduction to WWII. 9+
