For instance, you roll the big 20 sided die and it comes up with the letter "R". Then fill in a word beginning with the letter "R" for each of the 12 categories like: An ice-cream flavor. Word Tower (Child’s Play) $4 VGC This game is literally about word-building. An excellent way to develop word- building and spelling skills. In this absorbing game, coloured wooden pieces represent letters. Words are formed by building towers. There are 21 wooden pieces, 3 in each of 7 colours, and colour cards indicating which letter is associated with what colour. There are several different games which can be played depending on the skill level of the players. The basic game is one in which a player builds a word, 3, 4 or 5 letters and the opponents must determine the word. 6+
Boggle Game (Parker Brothers) $7 EC A wonderful aid to learning to spell correctly! Boggle is a timed word game where players attempt to find as many connected words as possible from the face up dice letters resting in a 16 cube grid. When the timer runs out, players compare their list or words and remove any shared words. Points are then awarded for remaining words, depending on how many letters are in the word.
